Mitigating Strategies for Combating Current Terror Threats

Vehicular ramming, active shooters, and suicide bombers were the most prevalent and damaging type of terror attacks during 2017. Through the perspective of case studies, examine the modus operandi used by terrorist in 2017 to understand the implications for security officials and other protective services. Lessons learned from each case point to security doctrines that can be used to both combat and protect against these serious threats. Examples include exterior security rings, cognitive screening capabilities, and innovative physical security measures.
